If you're hungry going on liquids would be totally counter productive because you'll just get hungrier.

Increase your protein' date=' it finds the hunger.[/quote']

Ok I will try that. Thank you

Find a nice thick Protein shake that you like.

I use the chocolate body fortress whey powder from Walmart. 8oz of unsweetened almond breeze milk, 1 scoop of the whey powder with a little bit of ice and blend into a nice thick smoothy. It will give you 27grams of Protein. Healthy and filling.

I always feel hungry! I'm just glad that I no longer feel like I'm starving! However, I have never been able to tolerate fills. I'm working with my surgeon with that right now. I agree with everyone else, protien is the key. Stay away from the foods that don't keep you satisfied for very long! I love my sugar free Popsicles and sugar free pudding between meals when I get hungry. It makes me feel like I'm cheating without really cheating!

Eat! :) Just as the others have said. Possibly consider whether you are at correct restriction, or need to see your surgeon for an adjustment.

It's now 4pm where I am, I had some coffee this morning about 9am, went on a nice bike ride in the cold!! :( , and just now have the urge to have my first meal of the day. For me, the band does this, now that I have gotten to that restriction level.

I NEVER HAVE HEARTBURN/REFLUX, EVER. I don't get stuck, as long as I eat correctly. I just don't feel hungry all the time, like I did even two months ago.

It took me a loooooooong time to get to this point, but I'm in the green zone, no doubt. And loving it! Best of luck to you, and NEVER, EVER give up on you! YOU can do this. :)

Bandster Hell is ......well hell! Really focus on getting Protein in. This helps me alot! I know it seems intolerable....but give it some time. Try and thwart your attention to something else. Sometimes if I am obsessing about food...things feel bleak. Try and keep busy. But eat your protein!

I just noticed you are 6wks post op. I would try eating more solid Protein, instead of Protein Shakes. Solid protein will stay with you longer.

chicken, tuna, eggs,lean meats etc...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
