Lap Band With Plication!

Recommended Posts

I Find It Really Disturbing when People Say That They Have had the Lap Band Surgery and They Find that It Is Not Working!! Think of It as This Way!! I Know People Who Have Not Had Surgery at all and Find it Successful to try what ever they do their way!!

I Don't Think It Is Because the Lap Band or Lap Band Plication is Not Working for You!!

You Must Remember That with All Diets The Word Die is in it for a Reason!

Which Means You Have to Die to Certain Ways and Behavior!

You Must Be Willing to Give Something up in Order for It To Work!!

I had the Lap Band Plication last June and Lost a Total of 70 Pounds so Far! It was Not That I didn't want it to work but some old things in me had to die and I had to be willing to change my behavior and give up the things I loved Most!! Over Eating!! Once You Learn to Master anything then and only then can you become a Jack of any Trade!!

Keep God First Love All of You!! Happy Friday!! Thanks for The Get Well Wishes!!!!

i hear you sharon......excellent weight loss for you.

you are losing because you are adhering to the lifestyle, eating better food in smaller amounts and just doing it w/o excuses.

be responsible for what you do or do not do.

there is no cant.......there is only I WANT this..

Congrats on your success! I think I am more motivated than I have ever been in my life and it feels great to be succeeding. I never would have thought I could walk 3 miles a day, but I am and I love it. Can't wait to try other stuff that I couldn't do before. I love my band for helping me, but I know that I am the main contributor to losing the weight..because I want it that bad!

I have plication without the lb and love it! I am so grateful to have had this done. I was a low bmi so I'm losing a bit slower but I guarantee I wouldn't have come this far without it! Fantastic!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
