Chris_tina83 37 Posted March 22, 2013 I'm not much of a milk drinker. I was wondering if I add Water, frozen strawberries, spinach, and Protein to my shake, will the water substitute make the same smoothie texture as it would with milk?
Chris_tina83 37 Posted March 22, 2013 Same here...I buy large bags of frozen fruit' date=' berries, etc, from costco..... You can add just about anything your imagination tells you...chocolate, Peanut Butter, banana's, But of course the main ingredient is the Protein, and I always add 15 g of soluble Fiber and 30ml of enzyme hydrolyzed liquid protein..... I'm slowly weaning myself off dairy products so no milk.....water works Ok for me....[/quote'] I'm not a milk drinker.. Substituting Water for milk, with all other fruits and veggies, gives the sesame texture as a smoothie with milk?
kll724 3,055 Posted March 22, 2013 You don't need to dissolve the Protein Powder in liquid if you put the milk, or liquid, in the blender before teh powder. I use about 1/2 full of ice, and then, pretty much like Terry's concoction! Best wishes on your smoothy search! Karen

MzChar 19 Posted March 22, 2013 Hi Tara, the more Ice you put in the thicker it will be... And as far as liquids I just use 1/2 cup of Water, and I mix the Protein powder and the fruit together along with 0 calorie French vanilla Syrup (to enhance the flavor) Char doing things on her iPad ⨠
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted March 22, 2013 If you don't like regular milk, you can try almond milk. Unsweetened has lots of Calcium
