50for50 72 Posted March 22, 2013 I'm a big MFP user and find it to be really useful. Question is: do most "eat" their exercise calories (using the net calorie calculation) or do you ignore them? I mostly try to ignore them, but there are times when it would be useful - like now when I'm on a vacation!
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted March 22, 2013 I ignore mine.
this sucks 557 Posted March 22, 2013 If I am extra hungry because of an intense workout, I will eat some of the earned calories but for the most part, I just leave them as they are. I exercise to help my body be healthy, not to earn extra calories. Besides, I think MFP calorie burns are a little high. Just my opinion. 1 blondegal_ reacted to this
catfish87 3,471 Posted March 22, 2013 I am logging using LoseIT since Jan of this year....just to make sure what I'm doing. I eat if I'm hungry. I don't purposely try to eat any extra calories just because I burned some that day. My last fill on Feb 19th has really made a difference. I think I'm where I need to be. Heres an excel file that shows a lot of info..I spent some time tinkering with it from LoseIt today....maybe it's useful. daily calorie.xlsx
susancwalker2008 70 Posted March 22, 2013 I ignore those calories from exercising. I don't need them. I feel satisfied on 800-1000.
goalseeker 695 Posted March 26, 2013 I eat them when I am hungry. I try not to eat ALL of them though. I'm happy if I end my day under my calorie goal with the added exercise cals.
