donna12 742 Posted March 21, 2013 For the past 2 1/2 weeks maybe 3 since my last fill I've been getting stuck and PB'ing a lot even on fish, things I'm used to eating so I went in to see my surgeon this afternoon and he took out what he put in 3 weeks ago .25 cc's to calm down my stomach and band and put me on liquids and soft foods for the next few days, well liquids first of course. He wasn't too happy with me that I had let it go this long without letting him know, oops. Also I was getting heartburn and I take something for heartburn every day and still got it. I have another appt next Thurs and he said he would evaluate me then and maybe things will have calmed down enough to put some of that back in, maybe not all but some. Boy did it ever hurt when he poked me and was pulling out the Fluid, he was laughing while I was ouching. I'm a big baby when it comes to pain, what can I say. laurigee 545 Posted March 21, 2013 I hope that removing some Fluid will help you feel better! It's hard enough to figure this whole process out! It makes it even harder if your physically not feeling well! Keep us posted on how your doing! 1 donna12 reacted to this
this sucks 557 Posted March 21, 2013 Unfills are not a bad thing. I have had three or four over my banded life and each of them made me healthier in the long run. I am always sad to see when people see an unfill as a failure. If you are too tight, like you were, you only end up hurting yourself. You either have reflux or heartburn, or end up eating slider foods because they are all you can tolerate. My doctor has taken the stance that if you can't tolerate salad (well chewed of course) or other real foods, you are too tight and need an unfill, Stay healthy! I hope you get relief with your adjustment.
