Hello everyone,

I have the 10cc band and im at 5.5, I was wondering what type of restriction should I be feeling? How much were you guys able to eat at this stage? Thanks :)

There is no way to answer that because everyone's anatomy is different. You shouldn't be "expecting" anything at any fill level. In fact, the amount of Fluid in your band is completely irrelevant. All that matters is how you feel at the level you're at.

When you ask how much we're able to eat, you have to remember the band's job isn't to physically stop you from eating anything. It will always be your job to control what and how much you eat, not the band.

Best wishes.

Everyone's stomach is going to be different. Placement of the band will make a diff too. The lining in your stomach may be thinner or thicker than mine. So Missy is right, no way to answer your question.

If you're eating steak or chicken and you're occasionally getting stuck or sliming, that could be a sign you're getting restriction. The best sign would be if you feel like a cup of food satisfies you for 3-5 hours. Good luck.

Like everyone else said, your anatomy is unique to you. I have a dear friend who also has the band who is in her green zone at about 4-5cc total in the same band that i have. I just had my fill topped up to 9.25cc (an 11cc band) and I'm waiting to see if I've hit the green zone yet. My doctor and I discussed the topic this morning and she said with some people, their bands have to be nearly full before they get to the green zone, and some never need a fill at all. It's a crap shoot.

All you should do is listen to your band. If you can stop eating at 1 cup of food and not feel physically hungry for 4 hours or so, you're probably in the green zone. Until then, just relax and learn to listen to your body and your band. It will come together soon enough.

Good luck!
