ugagirl1116 5 Posted March 18, 2013 I was banded this past Friday, March 15, 2013. I was wondering how am I going to be able to get all of the calories and Protein that I need because I can drink very little and feel very full which I like but I don't want my body to go into starvation mode and I'm pretty much constantly drinking something whether it is Water or a Protein Shake. Thanks ahead of time for any advice
harmanm 17 Posted March 18, 2013 Just drink what you can and all will be okay. Everyone out of surgery is in the same boat but all make out okay on the little that we are allowed to have. 1 2muchfun reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 18, 2013 That's very normal at the beginning. Your stomach is wounded, swollen, and healing. Don't worry about calories or starvation mode right now, just concentrate on staying hydrated. In a couple more days you'll feel better and can start drinking more. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
Starshine33 38 Posted March 19, 2013 Miss73 is correct! Focus on staying hydrated. Protein will come later.
Giovy 29 Posted March 19, 2013 Once you heal you'll be hungry again and will be able to get in more calories. I was probably 4 weeks out before I started feeling hungry. Good luck 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
