Karen85 16 Posted March 18, 2013 Hey everyone I got rebanded march 1st and since my surgery...i only lost 4 lbs! Is this normal? I been on mushy foods since last monday and I am taking in only about 600 calories a day! I don't understand! Why am I not losing weight!? I am really upset about all of this! I thought from being on liquids and mushy foods would make me lose weight how i did on my preop diet! I lost 10lbs on my preop diet. Its just confusing to me. Did everyone go through what i am going through? Is this normal?
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 18, 2013 The average is 1-2 pounds a week, plus the first 4-6 weeks post surgery are for healing not losing, so yes it's very normal. 1 hely88 reacted to this
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted March 18, 2013 It is clearly normal for you. You are still healing my friend, so don't expect a lot at first. The goal is slow and steady. It is not a race. Follow your diet and the pounds will come off. 3 ☠carolinagirl☠, hely88 and Karen85 reacted to this

Did everyone go through what i am going through? Is this normal? Hang in there Karen. I lost nearly 17 lbs. during the two week pre-op diet and since the surgery, about two months ago, 19 more lbs. So...what took two weeks to lose before the surgery, took eight weeks to lose after. Try not to focus on the scale... I know it's hard to do, but try to ignore it. FYI, I joined the 'Y' today. They're saying bad weather tomorrow starting in the afternoon so I'll look to start on Tuesday after work. 2 Karen85 and hely88 reacted to this
