ChicagoRose 650 Posted March 17, 2013 Today I made a Reuben Purée for St. Pat..check out my blog I also am taking healthy Soups and after everything is cooked and soft draining the liquid and blending it. Tonight I'm blending a meatball with eggplant. Just think of your fav food and deconstruct it!
Sharpie 3,306 Posted March 17, 2013 I found that re-fried Beans with some melted cheese or even a little sour cream on it was really good.. lots of Protein and I also ate cream of tomatoe Soup a lot... experimenting can be fun also. I really was not super hungry at that stage so, I ate a small amount and was done.
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 17, 2013 Cream Soups with cottage cheese blended into them. It gives it more flavor and more Protein. tuna salad, chicken salad, or egg salad put through the blender.
this sucks 557 Posted March 17, 2013 I puréed everything! It didn't look great, but after a week of liquids, I was craving savory foods. I even put ravioli into the blender! My favorite was taco meat made with turkey with salsa added to provide the liquid necessary to purée enough. I also used fat free refried Beans in the mix. CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted March 17, 2013 Good ideas all. Just about anything you eat can be pureed.< /p>
NurseKelly 43 Posted March 18, 2013 I pureed chili, I made "buffalo chicken wing dip" using moist shredded chicken, fat free sour cream and 98% fat free cream cheese, added ranch powder and some franks hot sauce with a little bit of grated cheddar cheese, after baking it in the oven, I put my portion in the blender and it was yummy!! I also made the insides of lasagna using low fat ricotta, cottage cheese and mozzarella with parsley and added a few turkey meatballs, and sauce, heated that up and put that through the blender and it tasted just like lasagna!! Let me tell you even eating a small amount of these foods were heaven after being on liquids for so long!!
