louisab79 6 Posted March 15, 2013 So it will be 5 months the 25th and I lost 38lbs still not restricted. It was stressing me out until I started thinking I lost what a 4 yr old weighs. So now when I see a little kid walking around I'm amazed that I lost one of them lol. 3 2muchfun, MCE and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
morelgirl 177 Posted March 16, 2013 Good for you! It's also important to remember that doctors predict a patient with the band will lose an average of 1-2 lbs per week. If you figure 5 months contain 20-22 weeks, that puts you right on track (actually on the high side) for your losses. Congratulations! A lot of the time, it all comes down to perspective. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted March 16, 2013 as long as you lose (by inches as well as pounds) it shouldnt matter how long its been since surgery.. easier said then done, but its true.....great job and keep it up.. 2 hummingbird7 and morelgirl reacted to this
JARS517 54 Posted March 16, 2013 I have a 4 year old (41 pounds) and a 7 year old (52 pounds). I ofter compare my weight loss to my children. Or I'll pick up weights equaling what I have lost. That really makes me feel better! Congrats on your loss!
CHEZNOEL 4,061 Posted March 16, 2013 Keep thinking about losing kids. Everyone loses at a different rate. There is no right or wrong rate. SLow and steady will win out in the end.
hummingbird7 18 Posted March 16, 2013 I compare my weightloss to the 10 pound bag of potatoes...lol! So far, I'm not lugging around three bags of potatoes

Lady VS 1,147 Posted March 16, 2013 This is an interesting concept. I never thought of my weight loss as losing a child. Anyway, you're doing great. Keep up the good work.
