marfar7 1,533 Posted March 15, 2013 You're only eating twice a day? That could be it. For 4 weeks after surgery, my dr told me to drink 1 oz Protein shake every waking hour (sometimes I actually forgot) + my Soup 4x a day. Mentally I was starving, unlike you! I say drink more Protein shakes and more soup. Get that growling tummy under control! Marcxi
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 15, 2013 Well you're only eating a cup of food per day, you are hungry. Your doctor can't have told you too only eat that little. What are you supposed to be eating?
AbbieL 63 Posted March 15, 2013 Wow! I'm mentally starving but feel no real hunger pangs. I'm one week post op and force down 2 x Protein Shakes, 1 small bowl of Tomato Soup and Water, juice, hot teas. Wish I could crunch on something!

lexlovesyouu 0 Posted March 16, 2013 I just had my surgery on Wednesday. I'm doing a lot better today. Haven't eaten much and already lost 7 pounds. I have had sugar free pudding, light Greek yogurt, Soups, Protein Shakes, juices. I'm never hungry but I know I have to have something multiple times a day so I'm not starving myself. Pain is much better, yesterday I did vomit which I am worried about... Has anyone vomited?

knmcd 34 Posted March 17, 2013 I was banded on Wednesday. All I've been having is Water, and chicken broth. The paperwork I was sent home with said the only kind of "food" I can have is SF Jello. I feel like I should try to eat some yogurt or something because I know my body needs something. I have Protein Drinks that I sip on, but I feel so full I feel like I'm forcing everything down. brianb 81 Posted March 18, 2013 4 days post op and was starving today. Ate the broth from 1/2 cup of chicken noodle soap and 10 ounces of milk. Felt stuffed for hours. Over did it and not safe, but was nice to know that so little food could fill me up.
