second fill went great

Recommended Posts

So I went in today for my second fill and like the first time it was nothing, didn't even feel it. He wanted to put in 1.3cc's but it was too tight I couldn't pass Water so I wended up with a 1.1cc fill today bringing me to a total of 6.1cc's in my 10cc band. Hopefully this will kick start my weight loss again. So for today and tomorrow I'm on Protein Shakes only then should be good to eat by friday. I'm not really feeling hungry like I thought I would, which is good!

I had my second fill yesterday too. Not sure how much was already in my 14cc band, but he added 5cc more. He tried putting in 6 but no liquids would go down. I am so excited! Maybe now I will start losing weight again. I haven't lost a single pound since December (when I had my surgery) and I have only lost 15 pounds. So fingers crossed! Good luck to you!!

You should see results very soon. I was recently(March 12) tighten on my Allegan 14cc up to 6.5cc. It now seems that I have a "full" signal faster than ever before. My doctor has slowly been giving .5cc to 1.5cc each visit.

Best wishes and stay the course. You will do great.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
