beccac143 1 Posted March 14, 2013 I will be finished with my second week post op tomorrow and I weighed myself only to find out that I have gain 3 pounds back from the 11 that I lost the first week. Does anyone have any advice? I am following the cup rule for food and am trying to make sure the food is healthy and walking 45 minutes a day. I just do not understand why I am gaining...... beccac143 1 Posted March 14, 2013 How many calories are you eating each day..total including liquids? I'm drinking my 2 Protein Shakes (Kirkland brand) and each day is about 600 calories. Tue rest of liquids is Water.
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 14, 2013 So the 2 Protein Shakes a day are the only thing you're eating or drinking? Nothing else? You're only consuming a total of 600 calories a day? 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and FLORIDAYS reacted to this
FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted March 14, 2013 That is very low... Does that include the food? Is that what your dr suggests? In time you will lose but right now at 600 ... it's storing everything you are eating and holding on to every calorie. I am asking because its common once you get off liquid to gain a little because your body is finally getting fed and it's storing all the food. But to only eat 600 calories... Seems low. I would ask the dr how many you should be taking in. 2 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

But my doctor told me on Tuesday on my post op call that my meals should fit into one cup... My dr gave me the same advice about the one cup rule but he also said I should have no less than 1000 calories...so I would check with yours just to be sure. You will lose eventually on 600 but that's really starving yourself.... 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this

Jun021068 87 Posted March 14, 2013 I was putting in 500 - 600 cal per day til I actually move to pureed diet. I was eating 5 times per day. My nut told me to shoot for at least 800 but that was hard when you are on full liquid phase. 1 Terry Poperszky reacted to this
