Usually do they do a complete unfill in hopes the band falls back into place. Did your doctor unfill your band?
karebare714 14 Posted March 12, 2013 Mine did!! I had a small slip that was diagnosed with a barium swallow under fluroscopy in 2011. I had an unfill and had no restriction. Everytime I would get a fill I would not be able to hardly drink within a couple of weeks. I stayed on that yo-yo ride for over a year. Finally in august 2012 I gave up. I had a large unfill and had the barium swallow again. The small slip was still there but had not slipped further. I stayed unfilled untill last month. I gained a LOT of weight in that time. I finally went for a fill and the slip seems to have corrected itself. I will never go again knowing that I am too tight. I was filled too tight for months and dealt with it because I was enjoying the weightloss even though I was throwing up a lot. That is what caused my slep. I now know how lucky I was and I will use the band correctly from this point on. Good Luck!!! 1 hely88 reacted to this
