Elisabethsew 50 Posted May 1, 2006 I am 4.5 weeks post-op and can tolerate all foods, including bread. I have a fill scheduled for 5/25 and am hoping to get SOME restriction. As it stands now, I wouldn't even know I had the band if I couldn't see the scars and feel the port. LOL.
Kelly_B 0 Posted May 1, 2006 I have put Ritz crackers in my chicken broth and it tasted really good when all you've had is popcicles and jello! I have also braved wheat bread which goes down fine. But rice kills me!! Weird huh? Those little pieces of rice makes me want to throw up ( which I know is a no no) and really hurts in a weird way. I haven't had a fill yet. It will be mid May. I can't wait!!!
Jachut 487 Posted May 1, 2006 Although like I said I can eat bread, cake is a killer for me. It absolutely hurts. I dont get a golfball in the chest with it, but I get great pain as it passes through the hole. There's an entire chocolate cake sitting out in the kitchen and I"m not even tempted to go near it. maryb 1 Posted May 1, 2006 I tried 3 teeny tiny bites of a toasted bun Friday night. I eat all over my plate, so I don't know if I PBed on the pineapple, the broccoli, or the 3 teeny tiny bites of toasted bun. I probably won't try bread again for some time just in case.
