ChicagoRose 650 Posted March 9, 2013 I still have 9 more days of liquid, but I would like to start shopping the end of next week for my puree'd diet. I do have some "puree'd Soup ice cubes" in the fridge that I made already but I thought I would ask you guys what you thought was a go-to item. I am planning on steaming and puree-ing most things myself, like eggplant, tofu, yogurt blends, etc......but.....am I crazy to want to pick up some baby food meats like turkey and beef to add into my blends? I don't think I can puree those on my own. How about canned tuna or chicken in the Magic Bullet?? Any advice is welcome =) (Of course I will ask my nutritionist the same questions on the 15th and do what she says but I'm still curious what worked for YOU) THANKS! morelgirl 177 Posted March 9, 2013 Beans, if you like them. When I was on that stage, puréed black beans with a little bit of melted cheese puréed in or some sour cream on top was one of my favorites. Beans are good for Protein and they purée up really well with even a stick blender. I still like them a day or two after a fill before I'm back on solids. DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 9, 2013 Everything you listed is great. You can also blend broth and meat together, I've done this with chicken and it wasn't bad. Kinda similar to your baby food meat idea but a little more flavor. Blending cottage cheese into cream Soups adds Protein and flavor, too.
MandaMom23 684 Posted March 9, 2013 I liked fat free refried Beans topped with a little sprinkle of reduced fat cheddar and bit of salsa. 1 SaraWalk reacted to this
