misscarrie36 24 Posted March 13, 2013 Was right there with you about 4 weeks ago and know exactly what you are going through. It gets easier around day 4 or 5 and then u will just get fed up with it the last 2 days and wish it was over with. Just hang in there. Best part is that u have less than 2 weeks to go. Thanks today has been my hardest day. How are you 4 weeks post op? I think I would be okay if I wasn't hungry but I am
aeromech 202 Posted March 13, 2013 I think the best part of the pre-op diet is it gets your head in the right place for the 8 weeks of post-op diet. Take this time to learn the difference between your head hunger and your stomach hunger. You really need to find a hobby. You want something that engages your mind and requires focus so you don't think about eating. I totally agree, staying busy helps deal with the hunger. On my days off I can go through 4 shakes and my allotted 4-6oz lean Protein. My work days I will have 2 maybe 3 shakes and the lean Protein. That is going like 6 hours between "meals" on work days. I hate boredom eating and know that's why I got so heavy.
Sandilee0210 75 Posted March 14, 2013 I am actually on the last day of my 7 day pro-op dirt......The first 2 days were rough' date=' but I am kinda glad that I had to do one...I feel MUCH better then I have for a long time. Now i just have to get over the "OMG my surgery is tomorrow!!!!" nerves that I have. The doc starts on me at 10:30 am[/quote'] I agree... I think it has taught me I can live without food? I am day 9 of 14 and although I am ready to eat food, I feel very good!
