Should wait a few days for an unfil?

Recommended Posts

I got a fill on Tuesday. I had issues that night, watery mouth and foam. Last night, Wednesday, I had less of a watery mouth and was able to sleep without thinking or feeling like I had to burp. I feel like I may be swollen from the fill, and the swelling will go down in a few days. I would hate to get an unfil when I should just wait a few days for the swelling to go down. I hate the fill center cause its not the doctor's office so you can't really talk to anyone knowledgable about what is going on. I don't have to burp anymore, but my mouth is still a little watery. What should I do?

I would hold out for a few days... I found that once I lost a few pounds from the fill and was able to go back to the regular food then it got much better. I haven't had a fill in a few months, but am thinking about going in for one soon. good luck

Are you keeping food/drinks down ok? If the watery mouth is your only symptom I wouldn't get an unfill. I'm not sure a watery mouth is a symptom of being too tight. That being said- maybe make Mon. your cut off. If your still not feeling right, give the office a call. Your dr. not the fill clinic.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
