Margaret Schraub 8 Posted March 6, 2013 Hi everyone! Glad to be here. I had my lap band surgery February 8,2011. I haven't lost much weight either. I have finally come to realize that I am the one responsible for my weight loss. No more over eating and not feeling like I have anyone to talk to. I go for my second band fill this Friday, March 8, 2013. I'm ready to start this journey again and do what I am told instead of doing what I want. Please bare with me and offer encouragement....that's what I need! 3 dylanmiles23, dee257 and Terry Poperszky reacted to this

2muchfun 8,927 Posted March 6, 2013 Welcome and we're here for you. Just a word of caution though. Some of us are rather blunt with our comments. For example: If you come here and state you're eating ice cream every night but still can't lose weight, expect to get your butt kicked 3 Margaret Schraub, DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! and dee257 reacted to this
Cozy21 15 Posted March 6, 2013 Hi Margaret! I commend you for staying your journey again!!! That is so brave of you and it sounds life you are now ready for it now than you were when you got banded. I would recommend a class caked Success Habits and another called Back on Track. They were both developed for bariatric patients and changed my life! I would recommend them for everyone for long term success. If you want to, feel free to message me your state and I can look up classes and instructors in your area! Good luck! You will do awesome... best part, you already have the Band now you're ready to use it! 3 2muchfun, Margaret Schraub and dee257 reacted to this
dylanmiles23 2,198 Posted March 6, 2013 Welcome. It is never too late to start the rest of your life. I started mine at almost 62. Just remember when to stop and chew, chew, chew. Good luck with your new life and journey. 2 dee257 and 2muchfun reacted to this
GoingforGoal 1,734 Posted March 6, 2013 Congrats on getting banded. Rule #1 Never compare your WL to others. Rule #2 Don't expect to lose 100 lbs overnight. Have the same expectations before the band, no more no less Rule #3 Followup and keeping your band in GREEN is THE #1 thing I can suggest. Even in the worse of times I didn't gain weight because my band has always been in the GREEN 1 Margaret Schraub reacted to this

jaydee7 63 Posted March 6, 2013 A little embarrassing, but what does having your band in "green" mean?(:
2muchfun 8,927 Posted March 6, 2013 Green zone is where just a little bit of food gives you the feeling of satiety for 4-5 hours after a meal.
