Wanna-Be-Healthy 46 Posted March 6, 2013 About to pay the deposit but I'm so nervous and my leg won't stop shaking. I'm petrified of failing or being one of those bandsters that don't lose. Am I making the right decision? 30 y/o 5"6 240lbs with 100lbs to lose.
Tiny1234 121 Posted March 6, 2013 This is not uncommon. For many of us who've tried every which way to lose weight, we now have hope. It works! I was scared, nervous, overwhelmed right up to the day I had surgery, now I'm happy happy happy! I love my life, I love me even more. 1 Wanna-Be-Healthy reacted to this

Only you know the answer to your question...your success, or lack of success with weight loss is going to be determined by your degree of compliance with the instructions your surgeon will provide you with. I regard the band as a highly self-empowering tool to use in an effort to become healthier. I understand that so called "cheating" on following my instructions will harm only me. There is no valid reason, at least for me, to sabotage my compliance and success with weight loss. Make certain that emotionally you are ready to make the commitments to the healthier lifestyle that successful weight loss with a band requires. None of us are perfect with compliance with surgeon instructions, however you need to make a commitment to yourself for your own success. Come back here often, and ask questions. There is a wealth of information on this forum for you to learn from. The best way to answer your own question is to ask yourself, "Am I ready to change?" Best wishes for a successful journey... 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
