lilmispcl 298 Posted March 6, 2013 I am so devastated at the moment! I had my consultation, physical and lab work...everything was given the green light. I just needed to provide the financing, I thought I had it worked out through a family member financing and she was denied as a cosigner. Apparently my credit is great but my income is too low (I have my own business so my taxes show little income after right offs) .. well my cosigner makes a very high salary but her credit score was not as good as mine. The loan agent said my cosigner's credit score has to be better than mine "which is going to be hard to do" .... well that was nice to hear but also completely crushed me. SOOOO...now what? Ughh. Im feeling sooo sick. Praying that my cosigner can just take out a personal loan from her bank and although the interest will be a lot higher at least I would still be able to have the Lap Band. DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 6, 2013 Care Credit offers a line of credit specifically for medical stuff, including bariatric surgery. Maybe you could apply with them? http://www.carecredit.com/

I love lucy lover 61 Posted March 6, 2013 Care Credit offers a line of credit specifically for medical stuff, including bariatric surgery. Maybe you could apply with them? http://www.carecredit.com/ That is good info. I was told by True Results to try them first, I was declined and True Results approved me right there with the exact same interest rate. Mine will be paid off this July...yeaaa I'll have an extra $266. a month to put in savings 1 lilmispcl reacted to this
lilmispcl 298 Posted March 6, 2013 Yeah for paying it off!!! If you don't mind me asking, how much was your total cost? $266 sounds like a doable payment for me.
I love lucy lover 61 Posted March 6, 2013 ty I dont mind telling you. The total cost was $999.00 but I had a hiatel herina (spelling) and my insurance did cover that so it brought my part down to $5500.00. True Results had me try Care Credit first and said if I got turned down (which I told them I would..lol) they would finance me at the same interest rate. I know it was high 17% but I was so desperate to do something I did it. I was tired of the yo yo dieting and going from a size 9 up to a 22, 24 that I did it. If you have not called them you should. Now keep in mind if your credit is better than mine was at the time you will probably get a better interest rate. I had just came out of bankrupcy at the time and my credit score went from 700 down to 5 something so they did charge me more. Good luck and keep us posted of your progress
lilmispcl 298 Posted March 6, 2013 THank you for the info!!!! Did you know before hand that you had the Hiatal Hernia? I need to get one of those! LOL You are the second person that has told me about it!
I love lucy lover 61 Posted March 7, 2013 I actuallhy did know I had one, I had an upper gi done a few years back but you would be surprised how many people have one and dont know it. I will 'keep my fingers crossed" that you have one..lol
laurigee 545 Posted March 7, 2013 Do you know why the family members credit rating is low? Your credit rating can be low just because you have too many accounts open! Even though you have little or no balance on those accounts! If they have multiple credit cards that have limits that equal over 20% of their income, even though they are not being used they will effect their credit score! These are simple things that people can fix by closing some accounts that will improve their credit score! This would be a benefit not only for you, but to themselves! Again, I don't know why the score is low, but I see this one problem every day! Good Luck, I hope everything works out for you!
