eggs are often the topic of discussion as they are one of the biggest obstacles for many bandsters to consume.

BTW-I try to mix them with turkey sausage, omelettes, salsa, veggies so that they go down easier. Still, if you take small enough bites and chew it to death it should pass through the stoma. But we all struggle with bite size don't we?

I have never had a problem with eggs. Cooked any way they go down.

But everyone is different.

I have eaten eggs since I could eat real food.. actually when I was on soft foods, I had some eggbeaters scrambled but I can eat real eggs easily... I do put some turkey sausage and some cheese in them to make omelettes.. they all go down easily... even fried eggs do well as long as I keep the bites small...

If I don't chew them well I do have problems with them, odd, but I do and I have a friend who is 3 years post op and she has the same issue.

Honestly, I think the biggest problem with anything is chewing. No matter what you eat your must chew, chew, chew!!

Sometimes I have problems with eggs. If i have scrambled eggs I usually whisk with some skim milk to keep them moist. If they are dry I can not eat them. It is all trial and error. Best of luck.

Yeah I have to mix with non fat milk, or turkey sausage, or my fave over medium because the egg yolk makes them easier to go down.

I am finding the same thing. The bariatric nurse at my Drs office said there is sometimes a buildup of mucous in the pouch in the morning. I even tried to eat Greek yogurt and even with that it feels like its getting stuck in the morning. It's coffee then a Protein shake in the morning for me

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
