bout-time 10 Posted March 5, 2013 Hi I have been banded for one week today and have notices after I have my Soup or shake my stomach makes some really loud growling, bubbling sounds for about 15 minutes after. Is this normal? and will it eventually go away or is this the way it's going to be?

DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 5, 2013 It may get a little better, but it's been my experience that banded tummies are noisy. I know mine makes a lot of noise. It took awhile to adjust because it used to be growling equals hunger and that's not the case after being banded. It's really not so bad 2 medicrn and hely88 reacted to this
MCE 31 Posted March 5, 2013 I think the hardest thing to learn will be that growling no longer equals hungry! 3 hely88, Jim1967 and Rongen62 reacted to this
Pana'sNewStart 68 Posted March 5, 2013 My tummy was super noisy those first couple weeks, but now the growling isn't too bad and you have to be really close to me to hear it!!

Jim1967 3,569 Posted March 5, 2013 My belly is still noisy even 10 months out but of course its still pretty big You get used it and you learn that it is not necessarily hunger growls. 1 hely88 reacted to this
hely88 883 Posted March 5, 2013 My tummy growls when I am hungry but it growls even more as I start to eat food and sometimes after. I have been banded for 4 years. Like everyone else says it does not always mean you are hungry. It takes a long time to learn what your body needs and it is a process that never stops. best of luck. medicrn 88 Posted March 5, 2013 You can hear it when it's emptying from small pouch to stomach. It's worse when drinking liquids. Still happens though. Almost 5 years post op.

this sucks 557 Posted March 6, 2013 After close to three years, my stomach still makes a lot of noise. It's a joke in my family that my band is just having its say-always verbal, just like me!
jenwattello 23 Posted March 6, 2013 I'm 3 months out and still have a pretty noisy tummy. The other night in bed my husband pointed to it and asked if I could please turn that thing off. Lol. Part of life now, but worth it! 1 readyforthin reacted to this
