Karen85 16 Posted March 5, 2013 Hi everyone I got my lap band replaced on march 1, 2013 and I been having so much back pain. My dr. said its from all the air that they fill the stomach with when they do the surgery and it is gas and it should subside within a few days. I have been having weird stomach noises and then i go diahrrea. I didn't even go back to work yet. Can anyone help me out. thanks.
Frederic 500 Posted March 5, 2013 Try GAS-x strips. In my case they worked like magic. For some reason when our abdomen builds up gas it triggers pain receptors in our backs and shoulders. 1 hely88 reacted to this
Baba Wawa 543 Posted March 5, 2013 It's normal, but that doesn't make it more comfortable. They literally "blow you up like a balloon" with CO2 and they try to get as much out as possible, but some remains. Walking helps, as does a heating pad applied to the area that hurts. As for gurgling and loose bm, you're on liquids, I assume, so liquids in = liquids out. You'll be fine! Welcome to the loser's bench! 2 hely88 and sapcat54 reacted to this
Pana'sNewStart 68 Posted March 5, 2013 Yep, it's normal and the Gas-X strips are really great. Try to get up and walk a few times a day and move your arms in a windmill motion, that could help get the gas moving. For the diarhea, try Immodium. My doctor said it was safe to take. It will subside and go away, I promise!! 1 hely88 reacted to this

hely88 883 Posted March 5, 2013 The gas strips or the chewable will work faster for you. I still get really bad back time but only during tom. Tylenol Arthritis always seems to help. Hope you feel better.
