Ken Pollard 31 Posted March 4, 2013 I was up late at night suffering from some really bad reflux after a recent fill and was searching for other causes of my night time choking on stomach goo. I found this site and found my answers. I've been banded since June 2010 and have dropped 65 lbs. I'm kinda stuck at my current weight and am getting frustrated. I can't handle more fills, so I need an alternative. I work out like a mad man, and have completed many 10k runs and a half marathon....so I stay active... Ideas? DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 4, 2013 Welcome! Night reflux is a major red flag of a band too tight. You really need to contact your surgeon as soon as possible and let him decide if you need a little unfill. You must be close to your goal weight, yes? Those last 20-30 pounds always seem to come off painfully slow. You already work out like crazy so the only other thing I can think of is your calories. Do you track your calories? If not, that would be simplest way to assure you're not accidentally eating too many (or too little) calories. Best wishes.

Ill Keep plugging along as slow and steady wins the race.. 1 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
cheryl2586 3,053 Posted March 4, 2013 I guess we all get stuck but you have to just keep doing what you're doing. Your body is trying it's damndest to hold on to the last of your fat. Perserverence is worth it.

marfar7 1,533 Posted March 4, 2013 Severe nightime reflux was my only sign of a slipped band. Sufferred with it for about 4 mths before having it diagnosed. Have u had a recent xray? Marci
Ken Pollard 31 Posted March 4, 2013 Nope. The defill helped immensely... I doubt mines slipped... It's just finicky with a mind of its own
Jack 855 Posted March 5, 2013 My own Band "symbiant" is touchy when at nearly maximum tolerable fill. What I eat late and how close to bed time will affect that sensation. Although never a matter amounting to Reflux syndrome, I did and do have issues during the day if at that level. In my own antique 4cc band, 1.5cc is usually about right, while 1.7 is definitely TOO much so. Watching that close edge is an acquired art form IMHO.
