Unjury protein powder

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to add some extra Protein back since I know that's one of my failings is not getting enough protein. I suspect that may be the cause of recent fatigue and headaches. I cannot stand Protein Shakes but when I was in hospital they gave me Unjury unflavored mixed with broth or coffee. I've seen it online but my question is does anyone know if GNC carries it?

So far, the cheapest place I've found is to order it directly from their website http://www.unjury.com/store/protein. Even with shipping, it's still cheaper than the home health care stores that sell it locally.

I knew I had tried to get it at GNC which is our only local supplement store years ago when I first had surgery and they didn't carry it. I did order me some today.

Unfortunately you can only buy unjury online. Some bariatric surgeons carry it but they usually mark up the price.

Do you know how long it usually takes to come in?

Unjury ships out by the next business day usually. It ships UPS ground from Virginia. Depending where you are, you should get it in 3-4 business days I would say. I got mine in 2 days.

I would order directly from the website first. I personally bought the package they had with samples of all of their flavors to see what I liked most and once I decided which ones were good I started ordering mine from eBay. They are brand new and nothing wrong with them except very cheap. I only use them when I have those days where I am not in the mood to really eat anything. They taste great if you blend them with the right stuff. Hope this helps...

I checked out eBay and only saw two and both were chocolate. Do you find unflavored on eBay?

The times I had it, it did. The only kind of Protein I've ever liked. Just cannot tolerate the Protein Shakes. I can't even stand the smell of them.

I hated the unflavored, it tasted horrible to me and I ended up sending it back. It smells nasty. I like the chicken Soup and vanilla is ok. The cheese to me was nasty too.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
