Thank you everyone !!! I took all your advice! I pressed on with my chores laundry, dinner for my family and even cleaned out some draws and a closet (YAY). Watched Flight with Denzel W. , got addicted to Scandal on Netflix, went to the hair salon and I did some shopping , I did one row at the outlet mall with my BFF yesterday it was so nice out! All in all my days have been fuller and I am feeling less sore each day. Thanks again for your input!!

I was banded about a year ago and it seems like such a long time ago. I remember being very excited to not have to do anything...I watched the "crappy" tv that I never get to watch and spent time knitting--which I don't get work work on for very long at a time. I also took walks around Walmart during the day--not a lot of people there at that time. :)

I was bored out of my mind as well. I blogged a lot or stayed on these boards. I watched TV or just slept because TV was driving me nuts as well :(. Good luck

I didn't get time to get bored. I was cooking and cleaning from day one and running my business from home. I didn't do any heavy lifting and it was a week before I got in my car and drove myself to the supermarket.

Those were the worst! But my doctor was explaining to me how those intentionally make you hungry so I avoided them and the food network at all costs!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
