readyforthin 28 Posted March 1, 2013 So my ride for my EGD and surgery next week just had to back out. And I'm having issues finding someone else. Ugh!!!! I'm going to be so mad if I have to cancel over something so stupid as this!
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted March 1, 2013 Could you just take a cab? At least then you know your ride won't cancel. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
readyforthin 28 Posted March 1, 2013 No. I have to have a responsible person present. Plus the can would cost a fortune. It's an hour drive each way, longer if there is traffic.
Tomander 614 Posted March 1, 2013 Is there a community agency you can call to help you out. Here in Toronto we have the United Way. They helped me out once when I need to get to a pre-op appointment for surgery and the hospital was outside of Toronto and my sister couldn't take me. There was no cost to me. I did buy the driver a couple of cups of coffee It might be worth a phone call. Just a thought. Tom, Toronto Banded July 6 06 Wt. Food_vs_Life 18 Posted March 1, 2013 Awww... I wish I were closer and could help. I live in FL and will be traveling to the True Results in TX. I hope you find a solution and I would definitely look into that Tom suggested.

(there is always a way if you look) missy was right about the cab part but an hour drive to and fro would cost alot. 1 cflick reacted to this
cheryl2586 3,053 Posted March 1, 2013 Hospitals will no longer let people who have been sedated leave with public transportation. Its a risk for the patient. I would call the united way, red cross and any other agency to see if someone would take you. Im sure there is a way. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
