**IP~LB** 279 Posted February 28, 2013 I took exactly one week. I do have to move during the day for my job so I needed those few extra days. Good luck to you! 1 cflick reacted to this

susancwalker2008 70 Posted February 28, 2013 One week for me and my job is physically draining. It was perfect. I think i would have been fine after 3 or 4 days to do a desk job.

wildrose1966 396 Posted February 28, 2013 I took a week, I also have a desk job. I had a pretty non eventful recovery, no pain, no sleeping problem, was walking around right away. I had surgery on a Monday and probably could have worked by Friday, but given the distance and my follow up appt, went back to work the following Tues. Kisha O. 3 Posted February 28, 2013 I am just curious how much time you all took off work post op? I have a desk job ... I sit on my but all day 8-5 I work for the State so I sit all day at my desk as well 8 - 5 so I took off for one week but I had a little issues with the pain in my left should and ended up taking off a total of 8 working days. After the surgery MAKE SURE TO TAKE YOUR GAS-X AND WALK AROUND!! Trust me -- it helps. Good Luck 2 Molly40.P and cflick reacted to this
SageTracey 608 Posted February 28, 2013 I'm a desk jockey too but I took two weeks off and was glad of it. General anaesthetic always leaves me feeling knocked around for about a week. Try to have flexibility so that you can return when you are well enough but not before.
kfiorentino01 1 Posted March 1, 2013 This is all so very helpful! Thank you! I'm still nervous but 12 hours and counting!
KAATNS 1,473 Posted March 1, 2013 I took 10 days and that was plenty.
Tiny1234 121 Posted March 1, 2013 Desk job, 3 days plus the weekend. All good. Was tired at end of my first day back to work but by the next day I was good. I would've been bored at home if I'd have stayed home any longer.
