gblondieblue 4 Posted February 28, 2013 6 weeks post- op does any one know if your allowed to have protien bars? 1 Holly Dolly reacted to this
Holly Dolly 575 Posted February 28, 2013 I would hope by now you can! I was allowed at that point. I just started eating Quest bars, really like them. A few of the flavors do not have artificial sweetners, which is what I prefer. 1 gblondieblue reacted to this

hely88 883 Posted February 28, 2013 I bought some but I just cant make myself spend the calories on them. I will save for an emergency. What kinds do you all like?
Miss V 41 Posted February 28, 2013 I just bought some Quest bars today, even though it will be a couple more weeks till i can eat them, but they have 20g of protien and like 19g of fiber! HOLY MOLY I will spend my calories on them if I can get all this in one little bar! I bought the banana muffin, and a chocolate brownie one, i have heard from a few people that these are the best flavors 1 Holly Dolly reacted to this

They have a new chocolate chip cookie dough that's amazing. I could only find it at the Quest home sight a couple weeks ago.
bethcav 68 Posted February 28, 2013 Me and Protein Bars are a lost cause. They don't fill me up at all and the ones I buy taste good more like a treat but I end up still eating cause I'm still hungry.
honk 780 Posted February 28, 2013 I use Protein bars as emergency meals. In general they are too high in cals to be a snack.< /p>
Holly Dolly 575 Posted March 1, 2013 I found out that GNC now carries Quest Bars, I only saw them online before. They actually are pretty filling. I bought the brownie and didn't care too much for it, I could really taste the artificial sweetener in it. I really liked the cheesecake bar and it is sweetened with stevia. bethcav 68 Posted March 1, 2013 I agree...I can find many other food options even in a hurry and I don't consider them a snack. I prefer fresh fruit peanutbutter cottage cheese yogurt when I need a quick meal. The Fit n Active bar that I use on occasion is 180 cals and only 10 gms Protein.< /p>
Miss V 41 Posted March 1, 2013 I bought the brownie today, I heard it was good one! Hopefully I feel the same!
gblondieblue 4 Posted March 1, 2013 Well I tried just a small bite of the protien bar and it did not taste good. Even though its 30g or protien it's a lot go calories. So no bars for me.
