contrabanded 18 Posted February 27, 2013 Hey all! Today I am one week post op and have lost a total of 23.1 lbs, with only about 3.1 being after surgery. I felt like superwoman up until last night because I literally felt no hunger. I had to force myself to drink my Protein shakes! Then all of a sudden I was so incredibly hungry so I had some Soup and drank some Water and it got a little better. Thanks to all the veterans on here I have managed not to panic that I haven't lost weight like I did during the pre op diet, but it seems I've been a little over eager and optimistic about returning to the gym, etc. I am just worn out! I was wondering if anyone had any good tips on getting through these first few weeks without a fill. When did you start going to the gym post op? 1 LadyDreadHead reacted to this
Pana'sNewStart 68 Posted February 27, 2013 I was banded on 12/21/12 and I didn't start working out until week 4. I went back to work after 2 weeks and had to let my body adjust to the band, lower calories, and moving more during the day. Do only what your comfortable with. Don't rush it and wear yourself out more. After 2 weeks, my doctor said I could do whatever exercise I was comfortable with.

I lost 20 lbs prior to surgery (ten of that on the pre-op) and have lost 2 lbs since for a total of 22 lbs. Like you, I got very hungry yesterday and had felt weak for the past few days. So, I blended a cream of mushroom soup with chicken broth and ate that for lunch and again for dinner. It was filling and I felt I had more energy. 2 djshipmom and chantelleb816 reacted to this
