Redesigned_Curves 312 Posted February 26, 2013 I am debating on whether or not to keep any of my old jeans because it is so hard for me to find ones that fit right. However, doing so I feel like I am saying that this is either; A) not going to wk, or only going to work for a little while and I don't want to have that mind set. I want to keep the mind set that failure is not an option. Any ideas? Curious to know what other people done or are going to do.
Terry Poperszky 2,784 Posted February 26, 2013 Keeping old clothes for me is an admission that I might fail. I get rid of mine as soon as I move to a smaller size, kind of like when burned his ships to help his men commit to success in the new world. 3 m1aman, DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! and Holly Dolly reacted to this
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted February 26, 2013 I agree with Terry. Keeping my old clothes is like giving myself permission to regain the weight. I refuse to regain all that I've lost so I get rid the clothes as soon I shrink out of them. 3 Holly Dolly, m1aman and Terry Poperszky reacted to this

kca1fan 326 Posted February 27, 2013 If you decide to get rid of them think about taking them to a support group meeting. I am sure someone there will be able to use them. 1 SnapIGotThis reacted to this
m1aman 944 Posted February 27, 2013 I agree with the others. I don't keep anything from my fatter days. As soon as I move down a size they are gone.

laurigee 545 Posted February 27, 2013 I guess it depend on how close you are to your goal. I always kept a size or two larger than I was currently at because crap happens! I buy very expensive clothes so what could be altered was. I personally dont believe whether or not I have larger clothes in my closet is going determine my success or failure. If it was that easy, how did any of us get into double digits to begin with? Lol... As we went up higher, all that smaller clothes didn't discourage our eating habits! Lol... I definitely didn't keep any of my 22 or 24's once I got down to a size 10. But I'm glad I didn't throw away my 12 and 14 's. I had a rough year and needed them and now im working on getting out of them again. I don't consider myself a failure! My weight has never determined that! 1 Redesigned_Curves reacted to this

Not because I am afraid of needing them again but so that I can compare and see how far I've come.
