Sorry about the rant but......why are staff in doctors offices always look so stressed and angry? I don't get it. I called about a bill and the lady freaked. It's not like I was calling her for fun...I needed to ask a legit question....RELAX!!

Ugh that sucks. Is the staff always like that, or was it maybe just a bad day?

I guess I'm blessed because my doctor and his staff are amazing. They're always very warm and have been incredibly supportive of me during this journey. I don't think I'd have done nearly as well if they weren't so great.

No it was just this lady...terrible attitude. Although I work in the medical field and deal with others like that all the time. Lol

Heck I'd say something if she's still snarky next time you talk to her. Kill her with kindness: "I'm sorry you're having such a bad day, hopefully next time we speak you won't be so cranky" ;)

I manage a medical practice and I would want to know if any of our patients felt like they weren't being treated properly by the staff!

I'm not sure if this woman particularly works in the office because she just takes care of billing for this one nutritionist. It seemed like she more works for the hospital....I'm not going to lose any sleep....everyone is entitled to a crappy day once in a while. Lol

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
