susancwalker2008 70 Posted February 26, 2013 I am going on from a soft food diet to introducing foods. I am staying within the dietary guidelines per my NUT, however, the last couple of days I am seeing gains. Small, all be it, but gains. Once I see a pound gone, I just want it gone. I don't want to see it creeping back up in oz. I need this to work. I am giving up alot here and I just need to feel like all this work and sacrafice is going to payoff and its not just a diet I tried and failed. Thanks. DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted February 26, 2013 The first 4-6 weeks after surgery are for healing, not losing. Some do lose during this time but a lot don't. Your body has just been through surgery, you're still healing, and you're on a very limited diet. Plus, it's normal for your weight to fluctuate a couple pounds (yes, pounds not just ounces).
