vacationgirl1 6 Posted March 2, 2013 I urge you to call your insurance company and ask that question. Ask for a supervisor on the phone. Get his/her name and ID number. If they say YES, you have a person and number to go back to if you hit trouble later. Many insurance companies are open 7 days/week. Call now!
dylanmiles23 2,198 Posted March 2, 2013 My surgeons office did all the paper work for me. They never said anything was not covered. I have medicaid and had to change plans to have the band and it was one phone call and the next day everything was perfect. Good luck. Every state is also different with their own rules. I have Romney care in MA. He was good for insurance at least.

Sassybee0317 0 Posted March 10, 2013 Good luck to both! I found Pioneer Valley Surgical Group in Springfield MA' date=' they told me that they accept BMC/Masshealth. I have my first seminar in April, because I cant in March...I'm a concern about the insurance approval, and my BMI....oh thats not easy...[/quote'] I think I can help you out here a bit. I used to work for Masshealth. Bmc is very vague about their requirements on their sites and the info packet they send you. You MIGHT have to go through a six month program (hopefully that requirement changed). Your best bet is to speak with someone at Pioneer that knows how BMC works. They can give you more insite as to what that specific insurance requirements are. The reps at BMC pretty much read from a script. They don't really know all of the requirements, only the vague steps of getting a referral from your PCP and letter of medical necessity. Hope that helps.
