Yes , u r the only one nervous about tomorrow.... its going to b a piece of cake ..... oh ! If only I could have cake ... : (

Just kidding ..... I have been staying busy every since I woke up this morning ...

Trying to get stuff done so I won't have to bother with it while I'm trying to recover ...

But now since I have finally set down to rest , I AM pretty nervous thinking about it..

My surgery is in ft.worth , Texas at 11:00 a.m. central time...

Thanks! Im going to be thinking of you too! I wish my husband was more supportive. He's so removed from the process he doesn't even know where I'm going. He just asked me to give him the name of the place and address so he knows where he has to pick me up. He hasn't wanted to hear anything about it. Don't know why it's bothering me now. Anyway, Teresa we are doing this for us! We will be just fine. Lets keep in touch please! We are soon to be banded sisters.

My hubby keeps telling me " you're just going to leave me when u loose all that weight anyway".

It is so much on my mind... how sad , but true ...

I am still not familiar with this forum so if u want to email me .... teresa4u@sbcglobal.net ...... I think we might could communicate better..

Hi everyone! How did it go today? I was only at the hospital for 3 1/2 total hours. I feel good. Just a little gas and incision pain but definitely manageable. I have been walking and have taken some pain meds. Sooooo excited about the start of this journey! I hope everyone is feeling good and I can't wait to hear. Xoxoxo Rina

I am feeling good considering. I have some mild shoulder pain, and pain at the port site. I'm about to take some pain medicine before i go to bed. Everything went so smoothly. Anxious to hear how everyone else journey went. We are banded together now. :-)

How are all the March 18th bandsters doing? I am down 30 pounds since my initial consult but only 10 of that has been post band. I had a post surgery complication and ended up in the hospital but I'm fine now thank God. I had my first fill today. Looking forward to getting back to losing.

I was banded March 18 too!! In Ft Worth..or rather at a Medical Center in Roanoke, TX. My Docter is in Ft. Worth. I am down 35 pounds since my first consult in February. 15 since surgery. I am loving this not hungry feeling. Although about once a week I feel like I want to eat EVERYTHING!!! haha. I go for my first fill appt April 29th...and I'm not sure yet if I want a fill. I am pretty restricted at the moment. OH, I had the IBand...lap band with plication. So maybe that has something to do with it also.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
