REDDGIRL1209 0 Posted February 18, 2013 I am post op 10/12/12. I have been having problems. At first I was eating more and my Dr. gave me a fill. Then in 6 weeks he gave me another fill. So far I have had three fills. The problem is that I am eating food and not holding it down. It doesn't even reach my stomach! Not even fluids. My Dr. gave me an unfill last week and one week later I was back for another unfill. She then told me I need a swallow study. If it slipped then they have to go in and correct it. Since my visit I have been eating fine with out vomiting. Not sure what's going on. Would my Dr. be able to tell if my band slipped by pushing on it? Has anyone ever had this problem and what should I expect before and after surgery? Is it possible that they don't see any thing in the swallow test? Someone please help!! DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted February 18, 2013 There is no way anyone can tell if your band has slipped by pushing on it. The only way is to have an x-ray/barium swallow to actually see where the band placement is. 1 2muchfun reacted to this
SageTracey 608 Posted February 18, 2013 You have had two unfills and are now able to eat properly - sounds like you are on the way to resolution! I hope the swallow test confirms all is good for you.
hely88 883 Posted February 18, 2013 I had to have two unfills the last time I was filled. Now I am just right.
