BHYMinister 1 Posted February 17, 2013 I am super new to the band and im starting my soft food diet section of the post op process. When i eat the soft food stuff i never feel full like i used to, i just feel really bloated and uncomfortable. Is this the new "full Felling" with the lap band, or after everything is done healing will that typical full feeling return? thanks guys im super new and really confused. DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted February 17, 2013 Yes things definitely change with the band. In fact, if you're eating until you're full, you're likely eating too much. Here's a link I think will help you: http://drsimpson.net/fills/Lap-band-eating/lap-band-not-restriction/lap-band-and-restriction.html Best wishes. 2 BHYMinister and Holly Dolly reacted to this

Holly Dolly 575 Posted February 17, 2013 I never feel full after eating. It was a hard thing to get used to as I used to always eat until I was stuffed! 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
hely88 883 Posted February 17, 2013 The link Mis gave you is awesome. And I agree that if you feel full you have probably eaten too much. It takes a while to get used to what satisfy feels like. That is why it is so important that you measure your food so you know when to stop. Eventually I learned that feeling and can stop most times on my own. 1 Holly Dolly reacted to this

cheryl2586 3,053 Posted February 17, 2013 You may be having discomfort from only having liquids and finally reintroducing real food. It should subside but if it doesn't ask your doctor or nutritionist about it. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
babykins529 189 Posted February 19, 2013 I'm almost 3 weeks out and can't eat soft foods yet. Even some pureed foods don't go well. I've had two days where I tried to eat the things I was told I could now from my nutritionist but it wasn't happening. So I'm going to stick to the lighter easier things for a bit longer. Good luck. 1 hely88 reacted to this
