Hi everyone! I'm trying to prepare for when I am able to eat again and I've been thinking about getting unflavored Protein power (Unjury). I was wondering how all of you who have it use it. I don't know of it's worth my buying.

Thanks :)

I use unflavored whey Protein from GNC, I add it to Soups, mashed potatoes, shakes, yogurt etc. it has a milky taste so I try to add it to things with an underlying milk taste so its more masked.

The Unjury is truly non flavored. However you do need to watch the high temp, it can separate over 140 degrees. I think the trick is mix first then heat to desired temp. I bought 2 containers it can go in anything... Crystallite etc

Yes, I am a regular user of the UNflavored unjury and a big fan of this Protein powder.

I add it my morning o.j. each day.

I've been adding plan greek yogurt to my Soups to try to get in my protein; I'm not a big fan of Protein Shakes etc.

I try really hard to eat my Protein and not use any shakes or protein products. Let me know what you find out and what you think.

I use the Isopure version (unflavored whey Protein isolate) and LOVE it. I add it to Crystal Light instead of making Protein Shakes (I don't like the milky taste), and I can't detect any additional flavor, just a slight thickening. I also add it Soups (after cooking and letting them cool a bit), yogurt or pudding, mashed potatoes... it's been awesome.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
