electricx8 2 Posted February 15, 2013 Anyone know how to tell if your band has slipped? I have had the band for about two months now and I had my second fill on the 6th of this month. I feel like I'm hungrier now more than ever before the fill. Any ideas?
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted February 15, 2013 The only way you can know for sure if you band has slipped is by having it examined via xray or barium swallow. It doesn't sound like you have a slip, it just sounds like you are early in your journey and don't have adequate Fluid in your band yet. It takes most people multiple fills before they have the right amount of Fluid in the their band so what you're experiencing is pretty normal. Best wishes. 1 2muchfun reacted to this

mzmel 8 Posted February 15, 2013 I felt like that yesterday. I had a 4cc fill for my first fill 2 weeks ago and I am hungrier now than I was before I had a fill! I'm just using all the power I have to fight the urge to go and get something else to eat between meals. Hoping to get another full in a week or so and it curbs it a little!! Just fight it..... You will win :0)
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted February 15, 2013 I agree with Missy. Just a bad case of Bandsters hell. I was banded Oct 15 and still fighting the monster. But right now, I've been dieting for so long, that I have a pretty good hold on it. The trick is, is to stay really busy. I've cleaned out my closets about 3 times already, along with my dresser drawers, cabinets, painting, gardening. If hunger gets really bad, I'll have SF hot chocolate or Decaf Chai Tea and that helps a lot. Good luck! 1 punkinvine reacted to this
punkinvine 227 Posted February 15, 2013 Having the correct fill is a real balancing act. When it is correct I feel full for 3 plus hours with a small serving of food. I called it "My first full button". This is a great tool and I am blessed to have it work. I only know how it has been for me. Hang in there and keep informing your MD. of how you are doing. Work together to achieve the success of your dreams! It will be a reality!
line-dancer 810 Posted February 15, 2013 call your doctor and see when you can get another fill. People slippage doesn't happen that easily so don't blame the band all the time...get your fills, talk to your doctors, and record all your food...and be good to yourself this works. Lapbandster 496 Posted February 15, 2013 Welcome to bandster hell! It may take you a few more fills and a few more weeks to feel proper restriction I have been banded for nearly 6 months and do not have proper restriction. But I have still managed to lose 50 lbs So just keep at it, and try to be patient
