TheNewMeTrini 26 Posted February 13, 2013 Hey guys!! Is it normal to feel a little congested in your chest area after surgery? It's weird like I have to clear my throat a couple times and my voice is a little raspy. Can't wait to feel normal again!
angelmf 20 Posted February 13, 2013 I had that also. At the hospital they gave me some little breathing thing that helped I don't exactly know what it is called.
Maddysgram 6,159 Posted February 13, 2013 They intubate (air tube) you and that can cause swelling and sore throat, also if you had hernia repair can be felt in chest. I would try some deep breathing for a while and if it doesn't clear up, call your Dr. Warm tea helps too 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

djshipmom 13 Posted March 3, 2013 Hello Everyone!!!! I have a question, about how long will it take before this sore throat/sore roof of my mouth thing goes away? It's making it tough to want to eat and drink. Tea and ice chips have been my meals of choice. I am 4 days post op.
