Bingo wings......Aaarrrggghhhhh!!!!! ????

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am 3.5 years post op, have lost 4 stone and a bit with 4ml restriction. I have exercised constantly and got advice on what I should do with my arms to constant fail. My bingo wings are bringing me down, I cannot seem to shift them.

Has anyone got any tips, advice on what exercises have worked for you or is surgery our only option?

Thanks for reading.

I have found no exercise that works. My long term plan is surgery.

Surgery is good for getting rid of them, but then you have these awful scars running from your elbow to your under arm. My choice is ignoring them. They do go down as you lose your weight. I refuse to have that operation, seen the scars on too many, and then you still can't wear sleeveless, because if you lift your arms, the scars!

Thank you for your replies, I'm thinking surgery eventually but that scar is holding me back . Apparently tricep dips all day everyday will shift them, will give it a go and report back in what maybe a year, (I've a lot to shift). Ha ha....

I have not been on here in a long time, but saw this thread and wanted to coment. I had Brachioplasty done 3 years ago. I'd do it again. I have long scars. And so when the surgon said you will have a scar, I waved my fat arm and said "you think I care about a scar" , and she replyed I would make a great patient. I went from a size 3x to a 1x just having those arms done. I didn't wait for my weight to be gone either. (Thats a work in process). But I feel so much better about myself. No amount of exercise would have ever made them go away.

I spoke to a trainer at the gym and he showed me some machines to help with the Bingos. I have only been going to the gym for 2 months so i can't say if it is helping yet. When I went for a fill I showed my surgeon what bingo arms are, he never heard that term used. I have bingo legs starting also. That is what happens when you lose weight but I love being thinner. Good luck with your decision.

Bingo arms are also bat wings...it is the excess skin that hangs down from your arm (btw armpit and elbow) and they wave back and forth. It's just skin that is hard to tone up

Having had mine removed was tremendous up-lift for me. Maybe if I was younger the arms might have bounced back. But hugh arms run in my family. Dr. took 2lbs off each arm. Now I go to spin classes, zumba, and I took up kayaking.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
