brand new baby band

Recommended Posts

I just found out my date  . I am going to be the proud owner of a brand new baby band (Ok, I am not sure what makes it a baby. lol.) on june 7th at 12pm. I wanted it to be earlier because I know I won't be able to sleep that night. I just wanted to share this with all my friends here. I am in shock. I have wanted this for so long and now it's happening. It is moving along. Even if it feels like forever I know it will happen in no time. Thanks for listening.

That is truly exciting news!! :clap2: I still want mine in May, but it's not looking like that will happen....waiting on insurance. :phanvan

I am excited for you and this gives me hope for mine as well. Maybe we'll be June bandsters together!!

As long as it's not delivered by a stork I think it's GREAT! Congratulations on your date, don't blink too much or you might wake up and have tomorrow be the big day! lol

That would be so great if we could both have ours done in june together 3loves. I hope you get yours soon. I also wanted mine in may. But like donna said it will be here before I know it. The stork comment was cute by the way.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
