wozzicat 36 Posted February 13, 2013 I sit here feeling sick asking myself why did I have this surgery. I am regretting it and just want it out. It is only five days but they already had to take Fluid out of me because I am too swollen. It must get better.

oneangel34 51 Posted February 13, 2013 I went threw the same thing. It will get better. I wondered what I had done and I said I would never advise anyone to get the LapBand. But now I am just 3 pounds away from losing my 100 pounds! I think it's the best decision I have ever made!! I am sorry you are having a hard time. But it won't last much longer! Kime-lou 648 Posted February 13, 2013 You are still VERY early one, give it a few weeks before you write it off. At about day 4-5 I was in the same place. Totally ticked that I had willing had this done, but after that it started getting better. 6 Alex Brecher, DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!, dee257 and 3 others reacted to this

karina5533 5 Posted February 13, 2013 I'm sorry you are feeling down right now but hang in there. Trust me. It's going to get better!! My band was empty when I first got it so I'm not sure what you mean about getting Fluid out after just 5 days. Can you get liquids down? What has your doctor said? I am 3 months post surgery and still getting used to changes with just about everything from what I can eat to what I can't and how much and when. This journey has not been easy at all so I can understand how you feel. Stay positive :-) 4 Alex Brecher, PattyGirl66, ☠carolinagirl☠ and 1 other reacted to this
PattyGirl66 1,243 Posted February 13, 2013 Wozzicat, Very normal to feel this way! I think most of us went through the same process with our feelings, thinking the same thing. I know I did. I cried for 2 weeks like a big baby. I drove my husband crazy, (and Missy) too, LOL. It does get better! We can all vouch for this! Hang in there, you have lots and lots of wonderful things in life to look forward to... I could swallow but it felt like a big lump in my throat. They said I was too swollen from the surgery to have fill in too. 1 A New New Dawn reacted to this

A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted February 13, 2013 It's not easy in the beginning but as all the others have said, IT DOES GET EASIER. Recovering from any surgery has a physical and emotional toll. You are going through that and a major lifestyle and lifelong change in habits you have had for years. For me the physical recovery was easy but changing my emotional relationship with food was difficult. I am not a perfect bandster but I try to stick to the guidelines most of the time. In doing so, I am down 75 lbs in 7 months. I could've never done that on my own before. Not eating junk for so long I don't really crave it anymore. Long story short, this is a huge life change. The first weeks can be trying physically and emotionally. You will get out of it what you put in to it. Try to keep a positive attitude and know that you have a large support system here and we have all been there, survived and are thriving. 9 PattyGirl66, KimberleyP, Alex Brecher and 6 others reacted to this
