Terry Poperszky 2,784 Posted February 11, 2013 Look at it this way, each pound of fat requries 3500 calories. If you log what you eat, did you eat 14,000 extra calories between the 7th and now? If not, it is Water weight. If so, you are insane 3 Instyle98, DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! and 2muchfun reacted to this
Instyle98 240 Posted February 11, 2013 I foolishly weighed myself the day after surgery. I think my weight was up by 8 lbs! Duh! Of course it was between all of the swelling, gas, Fluid pumped into me, etc. At first I was like WTF! Why did I just go and actual surgery to lose weight to only come home heavier? I hadn't eaten any food for over 24 hours! Sometimes your body is going to do what it wants. This has been a great lesson in patience and perseverance for me. It's a surprise each and every time I step on the scale. I never know if it's going to be a good one or not! LOL!
laurigee 545 Posted February 11, 2013 I had a total hysterectomy 1 1/2 weeks ago, and weighed myself the day after surgery and I was 6 pounds heavier. In about 4 or 5 days I was back to the weight I was before surgery! Don't worry about it right now, there is a lot going on in your body!

Kimmiej0313 0 Posted February 12, 2013 Same here, 2 1/2 weeks post-op, 20 lbs lost on liquid diet diet pre-op and nothing since. Very disheartening, almost makes me want to go liquid again !
kca1fan 326 Posted February 12, 2013 Ladies as long as you are doing and eating right it will come. Let your body heal.
Wgbem 138 Posted February 12, 2013 Also make sure you weigh yourself first thing in the morning, after using the bathroom. Make sure the scale is on a hard surface and you are wearing similar clothing each time you weigh yourself. It is amazing how your weight differs at different times of the day. melidawn 15 Posted February 12, 2013 Thanks. I know this is a time for healing not losing.... but it doesn't change the feeling of failing. You start to see this lbs dropping and you just don't want it to stop... especially when your eating right.
ErinSue2000 48 Posted February 12, 2013 At this point I am happy just to not be hurting any more and being able to sleep good at night! Yes I want to lose weight or I wouldn't have done this but everything I have read states it takes time! It took time to get where I am today its going to take time to get it off with hard work! 1 laurigee reacted to this
terr9952 2 Posted February 14, 2013 Dont worry about the weight loss right now it will come. Ive heard alot of ppl going through the same thing. I lost 10lbs on week 1 by wk 3 i gained 4lbs back. Focus on getting well & be honest w/ urself about where u need to improve. My dr said the 1st 3 mnth are the "tweaking phaze" fills are not 1 size fits all. If after u get ur 3rd fill ur still having issues then worry.
