DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted February 11, 2013 Are you counting calories? Are you sticking to a cup or less of food per meal? Are you getting in all your Protein? Also keep in mind the first 4-6 weeks post op are for healing not losing. 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and PattyGirl66 reacted to this
daisychains7 427 Posted February 11, 2013 That's to be expected. You're still healing from a major surgery and its unrealistic to expect any weight loss for the first 6-8 weeks (that's what my surgeon told me on surgery day). You are doing just fine! Stick to your 1c or less portions and getting enough Water.< /p> 3 clarks4willie, ☠carolinagirl☠ and PattyGirl66 reacted to this

PattyGirl66 1,243 Posted February 11, 2013 Great advice from our fellow bandsters - Remember you are probably still swollen/bloated, retaining Fluid - You are in the "healing' phase. Give it time hon, hang in there (hugs) 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Giovy 29 Posted February 12, 2013 If your not losing try upping your calories for a few days and then dropping them again. Kick start your metabolism. Drink more Water...you may be bloated. Up your workout intensity or duration. Also don't forget it's normal especially at the beginning to not lose coz your body is healing but try changing your routine a bit, the body adapts quickly. Not sure what your 1000 calories consist of but maybe try adding more Protein and less carbs. Protein is harder for your body to break down so in every 100 calories of protein you eat it takes 30 calories to digest. I know it's frustrating but change it up till you find your grove. Good luck! m1aman 944 Posted February 12, 2013 I lose before and after surgery and I went back to my dr for my 9weeks check up and he yelled at me cuz I only lose 3lbs This was a disturbing thing to read. I hope you are exaggerating somewhat. I wouldn't tolerate anyone, male or female, doctor or not, yelling at me. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
