Recommended Posts

I only list 30lbs by November then I got very sick had a slight unfill did the surgery to have another child and guess what I'm 3 weeks post op hysterectomy so my main reason is shattered! But still from November to date I have lost zip zero nothing! What am I doing wrong I know I need to exercise more but I work and two kids and house and husband and being sick I'm too tired to get up and go! I need help. Jump of encouragement because my at home system are all just worried about me Nd depression due to no more babies since I wanted a big family! I want to retrain my brain to lose weight for my self and the kids I have instead of Ttc!

For most, the simplest way to lose weight is to count calories. It's the only way you can be sure you're not eating too much. It all comes down to math- when you burn more calories than you consume you will lose.

I would also see a nutritionist. They can help you establish food guidelines specifically for your lifestyle needs.

Best wishes.

I agree with above poster, when I was using an app on my phone to count calories I lost, then I got lazy and stopped. hit a horrible platue for 9 months. Just got back on the band wagon and lost 7 lbs this last month

Until you count calories you really have no clue how much your putting in your mouth every day.

Good luck

I use caloriecount.com an there are other apps too. But keep track of calories.

I like things super easy so i also have daily sheets of different items to pick from an as long as for that day i dont deviate then i know im within my cal. range for the day without having to count

Well first off, I'm so sorry that happened to you (having a hysterectomy and all). That had to be beyond disappointing and quite heartbreaking for you. On the other hand take a look at what your body has gone through in a short time. Surgery for the band, surgery to correct your inability to conceive and then another surgery for the hysterectomy. That's a lot of recovery time in a short while not to mention a lot of physical restriction to facilitate your recovery and hormonal and emotional upheaval and plus stress. You have mentally and physically been through the wringer. Give your body and mind time to bounce back from all of this. I would think you also need some time to adjust and grieve over this curve ball you've been thrown then you can regroup and focus on your weight loss goals. Fatigue to the point of exhaustion and loss of motivation go hand in hand with depression. This might be a good time to seek outside help like a therapist or support group if you aren't doing that already.

For me it's not something I can force. If I'm not ready to commit to trying to eat healthier and work towards a normal weight, it simply doesn't work for me and actually makes things worse. If I try to do it because I should and not because I want to, I tend to eat more and move even less and it sort of backfires on me. I have to "get my mind right" as they say. You've been given some good advice by the previous responses and you can do this, just give yourself a bit of time and remember each day is another chance to start over.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
