You know what's funny? To come back and read all of these posts and see how many of you misunderstood someone else or took their post to be in a snotty tone, when I didnt see any of that at all! I do this too though and it's caused me to jump on someone when I had no right or cause to do so. And very many times people have mis-read my tone in posts and thought me to be a controlling bitch. Well.. I am a controlling bitch but thats another story. *clears throat* Get along you guys! I like all of you and I think you'd all like each other too if you just dont assume the worst about someone's post.

There.. controlling bitch has spoken again. Or should that be "lectured"?

*big smile* I'm in such a stinker of a mood tonight! *snickers*

Dear Controlling Bitch #1,

I was just re-reading the whole thread to see if I was as bitchy as I rememberd to be. Everything is so less dramatic when you've chilled out for a few hours. But I haven't gotten to the juicy parts yet, so give me another minute.

Love,

Controlling Bitch #2

Drama Queens, all of you!!!! LOL

You debaters exhaust me. This is one thread on which I have managed to participate and stay sane. How did that happen? I usually cower away to the safety of lurk staus. Or just hit the Ignore button till the discomfort passes. You strong-willed folks wear me out! But this thread really hasn't been that bad. Really!!!! Is there hope for me?! Pulllleeease say yes! :Banane56:

Oh, Kathy, this one has been nothing. I mean, we haven't even had any instances of:

1. If you don't like the content of this post, don't read it.

2. If you are tired of continuing this debate, quit bumping.

3. If you don't like what I have to say, feel free to put me on ignore.

4. I have nothing else to say to you, and you are on ignore from now on.

5. Nobody (except Susan) has accused Susan of being preachy.

Now come over to my "My Religion is Better than Your Religion" thread for some real mud-slinging!

You know, I was feeling slighted so I jumped in to comfort me. :cry

Ok, the only one of the three of us who has any business being awake is MAYBE Susan, as she's in mountain time. I'm pulling an Alex and going to bed.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
