Spaness2012 609 Posted February 8, 2013 I was banded yesterday at 10am. Everything went fine and was home by 8pm. I was having trouble getting control of my pain and was quite nauseous most of the day. They got me up to walk right away and that really did seem to help the gas pressure in my chest and back. Slept on a recliner and got up every few hours to walk and get more Water. I have only been able to get down a total of 3 oz of apple juice and maybe 3 oz of water in the last 12 hours. Hunger is not an issue at this point! It's quite the opposite. I will try and open a Protein Shake today and sip on that for a few. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for all the well wishes! It is still a bit surreal that I finally have the LB. It has always been a destination for me and so to finally have it is very overwhelming! 6 dee257, Harrier's Woman, VEdwards and 3 others reacted to this

VEdwards 17 Posted February 9, 2013 I was banded yesterday too! I'm actually hurting more today than yesterday. I keep trying to walk around to help with the gas. (I feel like there's a lot of pressure in my chest) Were any of you more sore on the 2nd day? And how long does it take for the port area to heal? That's where I feel the most pull or stretching... Ditto for me. Way more sore in my port area today...gas seems to be moving but can feel it settle in my back and chest too. I doubt I am getting enough liquids in. Drank maybe a 1/2 cup of Water and 1/2 cup of apple juice. Sipping on chicken broth right now. I am taking my pain killers religiously. Congrats on your LB. 1 VEdwards reacted to this

I've been eating Sonic ice most of the day so I hope I'm getting enough liquid. I've been using an ice pack on my port area, that seems to help but I still don't feel like I can stand up completely straight. I'm just hoping I can sleep in bed tonight instead of ending up on the couch... Congrats to you as well!!!
