ok, another entry into the silliness category.

picture it. I am about 5'2 on a good day.

8 months ago, the skirts I wore to work came to just below my knees. flash forward to present day. my skirts (the ones that I can still wear (the ones with a belt or a cinch section as the rest are toooo big) are now dragging the ground. why is that..how come....am I shrinking? hub gets a big kick on that as I am not that tall as it is and now if i am not careful on some skirts, i could trip myself and fall down a staircase.

so the best i can make out is......the skirts had to go around the massive girth called my stomach and hence the shortness of the skirt....now that the massive girth is visiting my inlaws, the skirt length seems to be (growing downward) instead of around-ward (yes making up words as i go).

so here i sit, looking at my skirt and going, isnt that kewl..another sign (without using a scale)

to show that my band/plication is working.

time to go shopping! You are going to loose your skirts, silly girl! As short as you are, you would look much more attractive in a skirt about to your knee! Great NSV!!!!

absolutely! In my case length got hiked up by my fat a$$, hips and belly.... Shoot I could have eaten lunch on the butt shelf I had.... and now I have no butt. LOL Go figure. And I am tall but the so called maxi skirts never were very maxi. Now I trip on them!

Congrats CG.... just wait until you are done.... there is a tiny thing inside of you screaming to come out!

Just in case is not an option.

I have one pair of drawstring shorts....in size 4x in a bag in the back of my closet... they are just there as a reminder. Heck I even got rid of some 10s and 12s which were too big just last week..... no backsliding alowed on my watch CG!!!

Lol I can also relate, I remember I used to put skirts up against me and they would be ankle length only to get home, put them on and they'd be much shorter. All my skirts ate now the right length and a few I had to get rid off they were far too long and if course way too big.

An awesome NSV!!!! Gj cg!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
